My Story
I’m Dawn, a mum to two little girls, a wife, a paramedic, and creator of the Panda Paramedic children’s book series.

With years of experience as a frontline paramedic, I’ve seen firsthand how vital first aid knowledge is during a medical emergency. Too often, I meet people who feel unsure or unprepared to help. That’s why I’m passionate about giving both children and adults the confidence and skills to act when it matters most.

I created Panda Paramedic to make first aid education engaging, memorable, and accessible for everyone. Inspired by my youngest daughter’s love of pandas, the books combine fun stories with real first aid learning, helping children (and their grown-ups) become the next generation of lifesavers. The books are beautifully illustrated by the talented Hannah Robinson, who brings Panda Paramedic and friends to life on every page.

Alongside the storybooks, I provide interactive first aid workshops in primary schools across the North West. These sessions are carefully designed to fit within the school day, supporting the curriculum while teaching essential lifesaving skills in a fun, age-appropriate way. Children can progress through the workshops to earn their Bronze, Silver and Gold Panda Paramedic awards in basic first aid.

For school staff, I deliver OFSTED-compliant paediatric first aid training and tailored medical emergency sessions that focus on real-life confidence and practical skills. Schools trust Panda Paramedic as their go-to expert for first aid education, combining professional medical knowledge with an engaging, child-friendly approach.

Thank you for supporting the Panda Paramedic mission to empower children and adults with the confidence to save lives.
